In 2019, I was commissioned to produce and host After: Surviving Sexual Assault, a 10-part podcast series for BBC Sounds. This was produced in collaboration with the production company Listen (previously WiseBuddah) and BBC Sounds.
I acted as creative director, curating the choice of guests, writing the introductory scripts and interview questions, and ensuring various safeguarding protocols. I designed the episode format, splitting each episode in to two parts (Then and Now), so that survivors could choose their own listening journey.
We were featured in Apple’s carousal for three weeks and were on their UK ‘Top 50 Listens’ of 2019. The podcast was nominated for the British Podcast Awards’ Bullseye Awards 2020 and the BBC Radio and Music Awards’ Best Storytelling Podcast.
